Join us on our popular ice fishing tour and learn the noble art of ice fishing, close to the city centre of Luleå. The beauty of ice-fishing lies in its simplicity, all you need is a lake – or the sea – that is frozen and a core drill for making a hole in the ice and the fishing gear to catch the fish.

Out on the frozen sea

You will meet your guide at the south harbour in Luleå and together you will go out on the frozen sea. The best areas in the water, which are often only reachable by boat, become accessible during the winter when its covered by solid ice.  During this tour you will get to share time and meet a passionate local fishing guide who lived and worked in this environment for years. Your guide knows the best spots, teach you all the tricks of the trade, what lures to use and how different fish behaves in different waters. Salmon, trout and  whitefish can be caught.

Winter scenery

While waiting for the fish to attack you lure, you can relax on warm reindeer furs and enjoy the winter scenery. Your guide will inform you about the surroundings and tell about the local life, while serving hot beverages to keep spirits up on the ice.

As with all our tours, we keep our group sizes small to get the best experience. Fishing license and all equipment for ice fishing will be provided, no equipment of your own or previous experience is needed.
